Responsible for creation of and all operations for a start-up business. Worked with the administration of The Galloway School to obtain a sizable grant from Suntrust Bank to fund my idea of an on-campus coffee house. Supervised a staff of more than 30 students. Was responsible for procurement of supplies/equipment, staff scheduling, inventory control, creation of the menu, marketing, and bookkeeping. Though it was a business, the coffee shop also functioned as a teaching lab for economics, graphic design, and other classes. The success of Galloway Grounds led to extensive media coverage across Atlanta which included numerous interviews with me in print and on TV discussing my innovative role in this unique educational and entrepreneurial project.

Part of the revolutionary (first defeat of an incumbent Governor in PA in the modern era) Tom Wolf Campaign for governor of Pennsylvania as a Finance Intern. While interning, I researched prospective donors’ giving histories and backgrounds to make call sheets for Mr. Wolf. Worked with campaign finance websites like NGP and Influence Explorer, and Google Docs Spreadsheets.

Greater Atlanta Area

Leader of the volunteers for the campaign of a candidate for Sandy Springs City Council. Worked closely with the candidate in a tough 5-way race for the seat. Made phone calls to constituents, walked door-to-door with Mr. Bauman, posted yard signs, attended events, manned information booths, and organized schedules for the other volunteers. Mr Bauman won the election in an exciting run-off in December.

Worked as a Media Intern in Minority Leader Stacy Abrams' office for the Georgia House Democratic Caucus. While interning I developed media kits for the party, researched news about the house members, and assisted with Leader Abrams' Twitter page.
