LowestRates was successfully acquired in July 2021 by RatesDOTca which is backed by the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan.LowestRates.ca is a Canadian rate aggregation service in the Insurance and Lending industries. I was in charge of our "Business Development Centre" where we developed and implemented new business lines as well as administered sales/call centre operations.

IFT Solutions administers outsourced programs for lending companies across North America. We offered lender outsourcing services such as customer service, collections and portfolio management. Mecum is the largest collector car auction house in the world and they wanted to create a solution that allowed their customers to finance the vehicles offered at each auction. Fetch Auto provided Canadians the ability to buy and sell a private sale vehicle 100% online with services traditionally only found at dealerships. Fetch Auto offered financing, warranties, inspections, buyer and seller verification and money transfer as a part of transacting a vehicle on the platform. We bootstrapped the business to a seed round of $500,000, but the business ultimately was wound down prior to a Series A due to the end of our financial runway.

Myself and the VP of Consumer Lending were tasked with creating this entire lending program for Canada Drives. We created the brand, built internal processes, co-ordinated software acquisition, built a sales and loan servicing team, and dealt with the legal and business issues surrounding the product and grew it into a $20M loan book within 12 months.
