This is my 12th year at Turner High School. I teach Career and Technical Education courses in our Health Science Pathway, including Healthcare Careers, Care of Athletes, Health and Swimming, My undergraduate degree is in sports marketing and worked in the field for 3 years before going back to school to earn my Masters in Physical Education. I am also the head coach of the Boys and Girls golf program. I played baseball in high school and college at Benedictine, Neosho County CC, Southern Arkansas, and spent my summers playing in colligate summer leagues in Illinois, Ohio, and Minnesota. I graduated with a Sports Marketing Degree and worked for 3 years in sales. I went back to school to earn my masters in Health and Physical Education from KU in 2010 while working on long-term weight management research studies, as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Energy Balance Lab. I have completed 10 half marathons, 2 marathons, 5 half Ironman, and 1 full Ironman race. In 2017, I completed my Master's Degree in Building Leadership and Administration Certificate. I can usually be found participating in or watching a variety of physical activities including golf, cycling, swimming, paddle boarding, camping, fishing, baseball, softball, and playing with his wife and kids.
