Guild has a 35-year career in broadcasting, industry sales and management. He has the ability for strategic planning and direction integrated marketing programs including, advertising, media relations, media and promotions, research, and product development. Other abilities include working with local, regional, national, and international organizations on tourism development initiatives.Guild has a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication (Broadcasting) from Alderson-Broaddus University, Philippi, West Virginia and a MS in Corporate Communication credits from Ithaca College. He has worked extensively as a volunteer in many capacities with a multitude of Chambers of Commerce including the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, Chemung County Chamber of Commerce (winner of the Goostrey Award for most new members), and Corning Area Chamber of Commerce among others.The Guild family has a long history with the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier, and New York State dating back to 1833. Guild has a wife Rebecca – Lab Manager at Cornell’s Animal Health Diagnostic Center, and a daughter Hayley teaching Kindergarten at Chautauqua Central School District also a son Gavin who is working at the Museum of Natural History in NYC.
