As a pastor my job can be summed up in four words, "Love God, Love People". But how we do that is where intentionality and strategy come into play. Here are the 8 top things I focus on...1) Build a Discipleship Culture - my belief is that effective discipleship builds the church, not the other way around. And as such I am committed to serve, lead, recruit, train and mentor those around me.2) Innovate a Culture - I am not building a culture from scratch as much as I am innovating from an existing culture, as a church we innovate in the context of the community we're located in.3) Build Alignment and Unity - it is my role to build alignment in and through our campuses, I do this through our guiding principles and values.4) Initiative - I gotta make things happen, my role is to see ideas through from concept to completion. 5) Team Player - my report card should say "Knows how to play well with others."6) Shepherd the Congregation - I love the local church, and as such I'm committed to care and guide people into the dream that God has for them. 7) Communicate - whether it's preaching, hosting, closing or in a small group setting my aim is to communicate concisely and clearly the purpose in which we meet together.8) Vision - my Job is to compellingly communicate a picture of the future that will rally and create ownership within the congregation.
