I am a motivated, detail-oriented professional working in preclinical research. My experience includes working directly with animals at rescues and veterinary clinics, as well as in research settings. Currently, I act as the IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) admin to help ensure humane treatment of animals and compliance with regulatory policies and guidelines. Additionally, I procure and manage animals for use on all IACUC-approved studies at NAMSA's Minneapolis site.Throughout my professional life, there has been one overarching theme I strive for: improving the quality of life for people and animals alike. The preclinical research field has been a great fit because of the positive, real world impacts I get to see my work have. This field has embedded in me the importance of upholding regulatory standards and following standard operating procedures to a tee, which I can translate into any field. When I’m not at the lab, you can find me at my sewing table! This passion pushes me to think outside of the box and use creativity to solve unexpected problems.Let’s connect!
