Working at Il Gelato began as a part-time weekend job that helped me save money and turned into my main source of income during the beginning of 2020. At the start of 2020, I was not full-time with t he YMCA yet and while camp was in it's off-season, I become a shift supervisor at this local chain café, Il Gelato, and continued to occasionally pick up shifts through the fall season of 2020.As supervisor, my main duties were ensuring the smooth running of the café, including, but not limited to, the cleanliness of the store, following DOH guidelines, having the store stocked, and making sundaes, coffee, or crepes for customers.
