As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and the Chair of the Cinematic Arts Department at the #1 Arts High School in America, The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), I have over 10 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and developing emerging filmmakers, content creators, and young industry professionals. I also serve on the board of trustees of the LACHSA Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports excellence and innovation in arts education.I hold an MFA from USC and a BA from Howard University in English Literature, and I have completed professional development programs in China and the UK. I have produced and directed projects that have been showcased on Netflix, Viacom Networks, and international film festivals. I have also been a speaker and panelist at various institutions and events, including the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, The Young Arts Foundation, Berklee College of Music City Music Summit and the Arts Schools Network Conference. I have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Young Arts Foundation for my work with young professionals and creative youth. My mission is to inspire, empower, and enable the next generation of storytellers and cultural leaders through rigorous, diverse, and inclusive film education and production.
