G’day,My name is Drew Rickard and I’m originally from Meanjin (Brisbane, Australia).I am an experienced community practitioner and have worked alongside young people to support them to navigate their challenges and thrive rather than just survive.Professionally, I have previously worked to support vulnerable young people to break cycles of homelessness in Australia, support young people and families in Cambodia - providing education opportunities over dangerous work, supporting people with disabilities, as well as various roles in educational settings.Personally, I love to experience the mundane in another cultural context. I look forward to trying local food, joining a gym and sporting teams, hiking, and getting involved with local community projects.I am a dedicated lifelong learner, and I am committed to empower, build capacity, and promote the positive development of young people and communities.Drew
