Worked individually with two different Post Doctoral Fellows on two different projects.The finished project investigated Klebsiella pneumoniae phenotypes and interactions. The project sought to understand various critical capsular polysaccharide genes and their roles in relation to hypermucoviscosity and CPS production. The paper regarding this project was published in PLOS Pathogens on March 15, 2021, titled "A systematic analysis of hypermucoviscosity and capsule reveals distinct and overlapping genes that impact Klebsiella pneumoniae fitness". Transferred projects on February 2021. Started February 2021, working individually with an Assistant Research Professor on a project investigating the role of a specific gene within Proteus mirabilis MR/P fimbrial operon to understand its role in not only the production of biofilms, but also zinc uptake.

Worked individually with Post-Doctoral fellow on a project investigating Klebsiella pneumoniae phenotypes in response to the presence of various sugars and carbon sources, along with specific mutations. Cited on posters that were presented at microbiology conferences.Participated in Department of Microbiology Undergraduate research symposium.
