As Head Teacher I am responsible for the overall teaching and Academic performance of the English Language teachers and Librarians at the Jinxiu center. I am required to interview potential candidates and train them in the course requirements. Troubleshooting problems and providing support to the other teachers are also my responsibilities, including at times, the final decision regarding letting a teacher go. As well as this I am required to lead by example and maintain a full teaching schedule while delivering lessons of the highest quality.

The work was divided into two core responsibilities. Firstly, I had to learn, deliver and test the Pearson’s encounter system with students which was a detailed combination on online and offline learning. Secondly, I had to travel across Paris teaching Business related classes directly in the offices of those involved. Sometimes these lessons followed the Market Leader Course books and at other times I had to create suitable lessons based on the industry and the needs of the student or students.

Creating, teaching and testing courses spanning the first steps of English language learners through to students studying literary themes and applying them in their own work. Students ranged in age from four to fourteen. Teaching had an emphasis on developing the skills for self-study through literature, reading and writing on topics of interest to the student.Choosing suitable books as materials to base courses around and developing those course materials from the ground up in order to improve upon the core skills of the students and enable them to continue their studies independently in the future.
