During my time at Burgett Consulting, I gained significant experience as a software developer and systems architect, which enabled me to deepen my understanding of both front-end and back-end development. I focused on designing, developing, and deploying robust applications that were scalable, secure, and efficient.I worked extensively with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.js, contributing to various web applications and enhancing user experiences through dynamic and responsive designs. Additionally, I developed APIs and worked on cloud-based infrastructures, utilizing AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and S3 to ensure the scalability and reliability of the applications.I also managed CI/CD, ensuring that the development cycle was stable and that code quality remained high. This included configuring automated testing, implementing linting, and ensuring the reliability of deployment scripts. My work also included ensuring that the architecture of the systems I worked on was maintainable and could be adapted to future needs, such as scaling to handle more users or integrating with additional third-party services.Working at Burgett Consulting allowed me to refine my technical expertise while also developing strong project management, leadership, and communication skills. At Pine Cove, I gained broad engineering experience, working with a tech stack that included ColdFusion, MySQL, and AWS services like EC2, RDS, and Lambda. In addition to ColdFusion, I developed a Python web app, created CI/CD pipelines, and managed RedHat Linux servers hosting various applications.One of my key projects was a web server for generating customizable PDF reports. The app was built with Python and Django and deployed on AWS EC2 using nginx and UWSGI. I used SQLite for storing the reports. The web app allowed users to customize reports through an HTML interface, returning downloadable PDFs.I also helped build a staff management app that facilitated the hiring process. Developed with Backbone.js and a ColdFusion REST API, it allowed our staff to manage applicants and virtually assign them to recruiters across multiple locations. The app was backed by ColdFusion for business logic using the Taffy framework.In addition, I implemented continuous integration using Travis CI for automated deployments to test and production servers, managed via GitHub. I also handled encryption and SSH key setup.My work with ColdFusion involved developing large-scale applications using object-oriented features and the Spring MVC framework for the backend logic. This included building a customer registration system with payment integration through Authorize.net and email notifications via SendGrid’s REST API.For our mobile app, I initially developed the backend on a Node.js platform with a NoSQL database, later migrating to MySQL on Amazon RDS. I created logic to generate a social-media-like feed for campers, processing photos tagged with RFID bracelets and managing other content from the camp locations.

I helped support the web application that was used to register summer campers online as well as administrative uses. I learned to work with HTML, ColdFusion, and MySQL. We used an Object Oriented framework built in ColdFusion. As a student, I got my first experience in a group development environment using SVN.
