What drives students to show up, everyday, and do their best work? This question has been at the core of my work as an administrative professional at Boston College where I support the efforts of First Generation and Montserrat students in the Carroll School of Management. My work is centered around service to others. I help shape the minds of Boston College students and develop them into the leaders of tomorrow. I advise countless students on navigating their professional careers and managing their money. Working with young adults in their formative years has given me unique insights into helping motivate them to do their best work. My career journey has been circuitous, but I've landed in a position where I get to have a tangible impact and use some of my favorite skills (educating, communicating and active listening). I am a former D1 Football player and have somehow made the transition into distance running (don't ask me how). I have finished 4x marathons: Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. And I hope to finish the the four other majors. Additionally, in the last few years, I've become a skiing enthusiast and have traveled the world to ski on some breathtaking mountains. I am a self-proclaimed donut connoisseur, so if you ever want to connect, you know the way to my heart.Send me a note, anytime, drew.barksdale10@gmail.com
