Vacation Work at Carpentaria Gold in Ravenswood over 16/17 holidays was a huge learning experience working at a well oiled company.

As the President of the Residential Student Association (RSA), i had the chance to work with a group of like minded people to contribute to the social and friendly environment that a residential hall offers. As a team we planned and ran o-week events that included meet and greets, trivia nights and outings such as lawn bowls. As a leader i helped implement ideas and acted as a link between social and sports representatives in the RSA and the Senior Residential Coordinator. I found this a great way to give back to the college that i had been a part of for so long. During this time I was also a Residential assistant which included a week of training such as situation management techniques, team building and motivational and leadership skills. As a leader and role model, for new students especially, i enjoyed my responsibilities and took the utmost pride in undertaking them.
