Profile bio

About Drew Corley

I have a strong background working with people living with mental illness, experiencing homelessness, legal, financial and addiction issues in administrative/management, project/program development, case management, and communications capacities. For 4yrs I managed/coordinated a residential transitional community support reintegration program at an Ottawa emergency shelter, and personally helped over 100 individuals find and maintain permanent housing, and establish community connections through employment and other meaningful commitments. I then concentrated my focus on mental health support leadership as a Case Manager and Community Development Specialist offering integrative support counseling, psycho-education (PSR), housing help, guidance and recovery planning to tenant-clients with severe mental illness. Currently I am employed federally as a Case Manager with Veterans Affairs Canada, working with veterans to help ensure successful transition to and maintenance of civilian life beyond military service.I am a strong leader with the goal to again assume a management position within a social support/community health or government organization. I am experienced in administration, staff selection and coordination, promotion and development of strong social support programming, program evaluation, risk assessment, and developing systems with measurable success. I believe in sound organizational structure from a leadership perspective. I am educated in psychology, criminology and communications.

Listed skills include Program Coordination, Program Development, Supervisory Skills, Education, and 25 others.
