Product Management lead for several key initiatives in HP's Business Service Management (BSM) platform business including:Lead Product Manager for HP OMi, the next generation Operations Manager platform from HP Software.Developed of the initial MRD, requirements backlog and road map and long-term product migration strategyHosted multi-city, international focus groups to validate functionality, priorities, perceptions and needs of our target market, and re factored our product delivery schedule to maximize capabilities in our first release.Worked with finance team to develop accurate financial goals for the OMi program, and obtained appropriate funding to deliver the full potential of the product at release.Lead Product Manager for HP Operations Manager for UNIXCompleted the planning and delivery of HP Operations Manager 8 for UNIX. This significant release migrated a large customer base from HP-UX on PA-RISC based systems to newer HP Integrity systems. We also provided a new web-based administrative UI OEM'd from a long time HP Partner. I negotiated the OEM, and developed the MRD/PRD documents with engineering leads to deliver a strong solution to the market. This was the first major release in 5 years for this product, and we saw rapid adoption of this version across a very large customer base. As part of this road map, the HP Operations Manager for UNIX product was prepared for its next big jump, a port to Linux and the version 9 release of the platform. This included validation of platforms for our enterprise customers, a re-pricing of our product line, and significant performance gains due to the migration to 64-bit instructions and more modern multi-threading models in the product core. This release was implemented by a significant proportion of our Operations Manager 8 customer base and allowed our customers to retire their proprietary UNIX systems like Solaris and HPUX without losing functionality in their OpsMgmt platform capabilities.
