Growing up I was always content just to sit in the middle of the pack and enjoy the cover of obscurity. After about 2 years into work life, two things dawned on me. I was not learning anything, and I was not progressing anywhere. I got what I thought I wanted, but was overlooked for promotions, or new positions. The reason was pretty straight forward - I was simply unremarkable.I then changed my attitudes, started asking lots questions, started wanting to learn more, and also going the extra mile. I started to get noticed and then began advancing up the corporate ladder. I started to become remarkable. By tackling the hard challenges, I have progressed from a factory worker, internal sales, branch manager, external sales, assistant manager, estimator, estimating manager, operations manager to a general manager for a large family-owned business providing high-end houses to a niche market.I am always looking to connect with like-minded people or explore any business-related opportunities.
