Fringe venue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every August programming up to 300 performances over a 3 week period.Venue Manager: Ensuring the proper running of the theatre (three performances spaces of 50, 60 and 100), which includes dealing with members of the public, making sure that performances start and end on time, being first point of contact with artists from numerous professional theatre companies, directing a team of up to thirty young people (aged sixteen to nineteen) in coordination of smooth running of the venue, as well as the construction and take down of said venue. Liaising with letting agents and landlords when organising accommodation for up to thirty staff for six weeks during the Festival period. Sales experience including managing and working at the venue box office, as well as the venue shop and café.; Dealing with enquiries from professional and amateur theatre companies, graphic design for leaflet, programme and flyer design, writing copy for press releases, proofing print, collating information, sending out contracts and designing press packs, directing and compèring the official press launch. Extensive copy writing for website, press releases and internal staff memos.
