My current focus is research about how we do research ("meta-research") in health care. Based on a systems model for real world evidence generation, GoodScience is promulgating methods for optimizing the integrity and value of information in the research process and connecting this with decision making. This has very pragmatic implications for cost efficiency and value creation for any evidence generation endeavor; and ultimately, for outcomes for patients.Professional interests focus on modern applied methods for data analysis (especially prediction modeling) and their connection with inference and health care decision making.Additional professional interests include:--Strategy design--Innovation: determinants, models and methods--Value-based Care; Precision medicine; Personalized medicine--Programming for simulations and statistical analysisMy personal perspective connects epidemiologic and statistical methods (especially prediction modeling), epistemology, cognitive psychology, and the behavioral economics of health care decision-making.
