Teaching Assistant for CSCI1102 - CS2 Data Structures. This class is the second course for all Computer Science Majors, and is the class you must take before taking any other classes in the CS department. The class is in Java, and teaches students an introduction to algorithms, but with more focus on learning data structures, how they work, and writing their own implementations. In addition, I hold 4 office hours a week and grade homework for ~20 students every week.

• Worked with the Consumer Features Back end team• Developed the Back End for an Onboarding Module which was designed and created by a team of fellow interns • Goal of Module: Familiarize new users with Blue Apron's website, and the information and features available. Decrease churn by helping a user understand best practices with using the Blue Apron product, and help them have a better experience. • Back End Design: In order to decrease the amount of complexity/space we were adding, we decided to keep our "Achievements" Table separate from existing tables, like a User. To get around not having information stored on a user, I created an intermediate table with the purpose of linking a new Achievement to a user through the Ruby on Rails "belongs_to" and "has_many" features to create a Join table. Through this, we decrease the amount of information stored per user, and instead store it on a different table. The biggest challenge of the project was communication between the back end and the front end. Utilizing the new standard JSONAPI format, I had the most trouble attempting to find and fix errors from the library we were using which, in the end, were solved in the next beta release of the library.• Became a full member of the team with sprint tasks within the agile development paradigm• Gained experience in the Ruby on Rails Web Framework and MVC design paradigm
