Drew is a seasoned marketing executive with over 20 years of senior-level experience helping companies identify what matters and scale. Most recently, Drew has been advising and investing in startups and real estate while enjoying some well-deserved downtime with his family. In his most recent full-time position Drew, as CMO, helped OANDA reverse a downward spiral, identify business drivers and reignite growth for the company with over 60% YOY growth and a doubling in 409a valuation. He built a global marketing team located in financial centers around the world including San Francisco, London, Toronto, Tokyo & Singapore. Internally he was most well known for focusing all company efforts on a cross-functionally developed, singular priority list. He was largely focused on helping the company build things that drove the greatest return - which makes marketing β€˜easy.’ Drew previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Athlete.com, an activity-based fundraising company he co-founded.Before that, Drew served as CMO for Interbank FX (IBFX). Under Drew’s leadership, the fin-tech was named to Inc. magazine’s coveted annual ranking of fastest-growing privately-held companies in the financial services category. Drew ran marketing while IBFX was acquired by TradeStation in 2012.Drew was the CMO for Roost.com – a San Francisco-based start-up formed by Kayak.com board and investors to build what Kayak did for travel in the Real Estate industry. Drew helped secure $8M in venture capital as part of the 4-person executive team just as the Great Recession was gripping the world. Drew quickly elevated to CMO for Ancestry.com and helped the company grow its revenues from tens of millions to hundreds of millions annually - ultimately resulting in an IPO. He scaled marketing across every possible channel and grew marketing spend from five to nine-digits over a six-year period.Early in his career he founded and ran Wireless Cable Systems (WCS), a business that sold satellite TV in the western U.S. With a $6,000 investment, this company generated an impressive $1.3M in sales in its first year of operations. WCS became a nationally ranked top 10 retailer, and after four years sold the business.A devoted husband and father of two, Drew is also a β€œfitness freak”. An avid skier, biker, IRONMAN and Xterra triathlete, adventure runner, he also qualified for the Boston Marathon. He placed fourth in the toughest marathon on the planet: the Inca Trail Marathon to Machu Picchu, Peru and ran the Great Wall Marathon in China to sherpa for his wife, Christina.
