I have over 17 years of experience in building software. Currently, I work as a Staff Software Engineer at Upright, where I design software in the Real Estate Investing space. Most recently, I have designed our frontend architecture for distributed, framework-agnostic micro-frontend applications.In my role, I lead software teams to build stable, well-tested, and long-lived software that scales. I also develop and enforce coding and quality standards for the teams.Throughout my career, I have designed numerous distributed systems for web clients, mobile applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructures. I have a deep passion for building software of all types and scrutinize over performance. One of my proudest projects is the chessboard for chess.com. A co-worker and I designed it from scratch, without frameworks. It has been played over a billion times and remains stable.I started my career as a teenager while attending a vocational school, studying computer science.
