Construction SuperintendentNovel Builders Jul 2022 - PresentRichardson, Tx, UsNovel Builders is a general contracting firm that builds exclusively in the commercial market, and they specialize in retail/office, healthcare & school/church projects. After joining the Novel team, I assisted the project manager in completing the Plumber’s & Pipefitter’s office & training facility in Mesquite. That was a design-build ground up, two story, tilt wall project that was roughly 36,000 sq ft. It included everything from offices to classrooms/training rooms to a full welding shop. After the completion of that project, I started my own ground up, one story, tilt wall project in Burleson. It’s a $4MM retail/restaurant shell building that’s roughly 12,000 sq ft. It includes structural steel and metal stud framing, and has a stone/textured paint/nichiha facade. This retail space was built to house a Jason’s Deli, 5 Guys Burger & dental office. Additionally, this project includes pouring roughly 30,000 sq ft of parking lot & drive thru paving and about 100 LF of retaining wall. Project should be completed by the end of April.● Oversee all aspects of the construction process from planning to implementation.● Coordinate and supervise all sub-contractors on-site throughout the construction process from setting property stakes to CO.● Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city officials, and clients.● Maintain look ahead schedule for upcoming trades and daily log of activities, for future reference, if needed● Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to ensure the project schedule is maintained and overall quality of work is met.● Conduct weekly safety meetings & toolbox talks with subcontractors to maintain a safe project site● Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.● Identify and resolve any field issues that could cause schedule delays or negative cost impacts to the budget and process any RFI’s arising from field issues or questions from the subs. -

The project I’m currently working on is a ground up build of an airplane hangar at Meacham Airport in Fort Worth. The hangar is a 20,000 sq ft pre-engineered metal building with offices and a shop/warehouse. In addition to the hangar, the project also included pouring the parking lot as well as the apron and taxiway. The overall budget for this project was roughly $3.5MM. Project Manager / SuperintendentCbf Construction Nov 2017 - Mar 2021CBF Construction is a general contracting company that operates in both the commercial and residential markets. The first two projects I was a part of with CBF was the construction of the 9th and Bishop Townhomes and the Westwood Bishop Arts Townhomes. The 9th and Bishop Townhomes were 8 units located at 425 and 429 W 9th St in the Bishop Arts area of downtown Dallas. The Westwood Bishop Arts Townhomes were 7 units located at 422 W 9th St. across the street from the 9th and Bishop Townhomes. Those projects were roughly $5.5MM between the two of them. The townhomes were all three-story units with private two-car garages and 500 sq. ft. rooftop decks with skyline views. They were three bed/three bath and 2,100+ sq. ft. and they are on the market now in the $550,000 - $600,000 range. The project I'm currently working on is the construction of King Plaza which is going to be six retail office buildings located at 14111 King Rd. in the Frisco/Little Elm area. That project is roughly $6MM.• Participated in architecture and design meetings with the developers of both Bishop Arts projects to design both townhomes.• Handled all the pre-dev/pre-con meetings with the city of Dallas.• Worked with city officials to get plans approved and building permits.• Built the SOV’s for the projects and input them into Procore.• Sent out bid requests, reviewed project proposals and negotiated sub contracts and input them into Procore.• Coordinated and supervised all sub-contractors on-site throughout the construction process from setting property stakes to CO.• Worked hand in hand with the developers throughout the construction process through daily reports/submittals/change orders/monthly draw sheets/etc. which was all coordinated through Procore. -
