As a community advocate for technology, I am the President and Co-Founder of the largest Tech Non-Profit in South Texas focused on teaching essentials of computer science and computer programming to residents of all backgrounds and ages.     I was hand picked as the sole network engineer to design and build out a multi-county Next-Generation Non-Line-of-Sight Broadband Internet Service Provider. This deployment was the largest deployment of NLOS technology in the United States. I was required to develop the entire network, high-speed backhaul solution, server systems, and all surrounding technology to allow for over 20,000 users to access the internet via next-generation wireless broadband. The network build-out consisted of 8 Cisco 7500 series routers, 10+ Cisco 2500 series routers, 15+ Cisco Catalyst 5000 and 2900 series switches, Sun Netra and Dell PowerEdge servers, APC Symmetra and SmartUPS power devices, as well as 16 Navini 2.6GHz MMDS Base Stations. The backbone of the network is all fully licensed Stratex Altium OC-3 (3) and XP4 DS-3 (5) microwave radios. Also installed were 16 Alvarion BreezeAccess VL basestations and 4 Motorola Canopy Access Point clusters. I was responsible for administrating, maintaining, and operating all of the above listed devices. Alongside my normal day-to-day duties, I was also a Special Projects Developer responsible for coming up with and implementing new projects to generate revenue, as well as add usability and service to our customers and potential customers. Some of these projects have included: Developing a HotSpot Network consisting of over 20 free, public, HotSpots; providing broadband to MDUs including hotels, resorts, and apartment complexes; Attending and presenting at numerous local and National trade-shows and expositions.
