I recently worked as a sales associate/keyholder at Marine Layer. I helped customers find what they were looking for and I marketed our products to our customers to increase sales. I also helped with the presentation of our clothing in store to enrich the customer experience. As a keyholder, I handled opening and closing responsibilities for the store.

I worked as the marketing intern for the Charleston Literary Festival to help promote the 2022 festival. I worked on outreaching via emails to organizations that would possibly be interested in one of our events. In order to do this, I curated a list of organizations to send each event to and personalized each email based on who I was sending it to in order to gain more ticket sales. I also created social media packs for each of our authors so they could promote the festival on social media. I also attended local in-person events to promote the 2022 festival. I attended weekly marketing meetings to discuss current sales statistics and future events/ideas to generate more sales. During the festival, I assisted with the daily operations of checking people into each event and ensuring the check-in booth was set up correctly.

I worked as a retail sales associate at Beads On Cannon in Charleston, SC. I helped customers find exactly what they needed and showed them around the store. I also created displays for the store to showcase seasonal products that we carried. I also helped kickstart a social media campaign for Beads On Cannon. I came up with the idea of starting a social media presence for the store to help bring in more customers. I helped create an Instagram for the store. I also helped manage the account and made creative posts to bring people in.

I worked as a cashier. I also bagged groceries and helped people carry their groceries out to their vehicles. As a cashier, I learned how to operate a register system and talked with our customers to ensure they had a positive customer service experience in our store. I also had the responsibility of occasionally being the sole cashier to open or close the store. In this instance, I was trusted to deal with customers and ring people up by myself. Through this, I learned valuable people skills.

Over the course of three years, I occasionally worked as a babysitter. I babysat for a couple of different families with children ranging from 2 years old to 4 years old, including a set of twins. Sometimes I would accompany the family when going out in public so that I could watch the children while they tended to their business. Other times, I was entrusted to care for the child while the parents went out.

For a couple of months, I worked as an algebra tutor for an eighth grade student. I worked one-on-one with the student to work through algebra problems. I helped teach him certain formulas and how to work difficult algebraic equations.
