About Drew Meile

I was born in Denver and have lived here my entire life. I went to school in Greeley, CO (University of Northern Colorado). I really enjoy hiking and mountaineering and hope to one day summit all of the mountains above 14,000 feet in Colorado.Currently, I am an Aquatic Specialist for the City of Thornton where I help schedule lifeguards for day to day operations while also maintaining proper pool chemistry for the safety of guests and pool functionality. I enjoy working with lifeguards of all ages and getting to stretch my leadership muscles and guide the younger guards to better themselves to the best of their abilities.I graduated with a degree in English and a minor in writing from the University of Northern Colorado in 2016. Each of my areas of study brings a different perspective to writing, close reading, public speaking, and problem solving. I also became the volunteer editor and media director for UNC’s literary arts magazine The Crucible. In this role, I made sure that the university as well as our followers on social media knew what events were being planned and when our deadlines were. While the events were being held, it was my job to take pictures for our social media pages as well as more professional photos with my DSLR camera. In the spring of 2016, we created our very first eBook for our publication as well.Specialties include, but are not limited to: Public speaking, Microsoft Office, and problem solving.
