With a foundation based in transformative research led by world-class faculty, in conjunction with Louisiana State-designated Centers focused on biomedical and clinical research involving cancer, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory disorders, brain health, tissue engineering, addiction and viral threats, LSU Health Shreveport is ranked #1 in the LSU system for patents issued and is North Louisiana's only academic medical center. From within the Office of Research, at the direction of the AVC-RD and Vice Chancellor for Research, I originated this staff tech transfer and commercialization role as subject matter expert, community lead and head cheerleader for the emergent HSCS Innovation Ecosystem.
