As principal strategist and subject matter expert, led development of a campus-wide curricular overlay to better train students for participation in the 21st Century workforce, by embedding digital dexterity in all aspects of the curriculum. This over-arching initiative - inclusive of new faculty roles, new courses, new research programs and projects by students, faculty and industry - is based on a central physical space known as the Collaboratory, with service centers for prototyping, visualization and biofabrication, and "sandboxed" immersive industrial environments representing government, military, industrial operations, education, consumer tech and healthcare. These environments are built to allow students to serve as apprentices, while student, faculty and commercial collaborator projects are deployed and tested as if in the real world. With full participation from faculty across nearly all major disciplines on campus, the Collaboratory initiative is changing the way LSUS recruits, educates, trains and engages the community.

The initial application focus is blood coagulation analysis, with a particular emphasis on pediatric critical care, where no current device is capable of providing the critical data that care providers need for these most vulnerable patients.
