Drew is a Design Manager/Art Director with over 12 years of experience, focusing on digital design across various streams and industries, from Sports to Fashion and many others in between. He currently manages the Real Time design team, comprised of 10+ designers at Bleacher Report (BR)/Turner Sports. They are responsible for producing content for BR/Turner Sports social accounts, apps, streaming platforms and websites. They work in real time, covering sports as they happen, working every day of the year, to ensure they don’t miss a minute of breaking sports news. They create original designs that can be utilized for a whole season/year or around different tentpole sports events. His primary duties include hiring designers, managing schedules, budgeting, and mentoring designers. He partners with brand managers to make sure designs fit within different League Branding needs or for sold content. This work varies from static to motion design and produced at the highest level. Drew’s other priority is commissioning original artwork for the brands across BR and Turner Sports. He discovers artists that fit the look/tone/feel of all the different brands. He manages all aspects of these projects from start to finish: contacting/negotiating with artists, providing art direction/feedback, maintaining timelines and budgets, and working with final deliverables. Prior to stepping into his current role, Drew helped launch BR Snapchat, redesigned the BR homepage, and experiments with new innovations with augmented reality. TLDR: I have over 12 years of design experience across lots of mediums, focusing now on digital design. I am currently a Design Manager at Bleacher Report, running a team of 10+ people who work every day of the year.
