Worked in the domain of Girls' Education and Empowerment. · Secured a $3600 grant through the Peace Corps Partnership program to organize and facilitate an annual week-long camp for the top high school sophomore boy and girl students from villages all over Togo’s Central Region. Taught 40 students computer literacy skills such as typing, Microsoft Word, and internet research as well as held sessions on the subjects of AIDS and self-confidence.· Designed curriculum for and implement an extra-curricular weekly club for approximately 40 high school boys and girls to promote girls’ participation in science. Activities included science experiments, homework assistance and math and science games.· Secured a $5500 grant through the United States Agency for International Development Small Project Assistance Program to construct 10 latrines in the village of Tchamba. Created the budget and timeline, allocated needed quantities of building materials, and taught villagers proper sanitation, hygiene and care and maintenance of their latrines.
