Before Atomic was acquired by Grayling, I managed account teams (locally, across offices and sometimes globally) of up to 15 people, created PR plans, set strategy, trained spokespeople, and conducted high-level media relations and crisis communications. My teams met and often exceeded goals, and won several industry awards, for a range of consumer and technology clients. I was also heavily involved in new business development.

I was a senior account executive in the marketing communications practice at Hill & Knowlton, Irvine with a specialization in lifestyle media relations. In this role I created and implemented multi-platform communications programs aimed at engaging the media as well as consumers, managed best teams toward common goals, developed engaging story angles, conducted top-tier media relations, crafted social media messaging and strategy, and pitched new business. Clients included a range of businesses in the travel and tourism, entertainment, automotive and technology sectors.

The Dude PR was my foray into the freelance world and into entrepreneurship. In addition to running all of the operations implied in owning a business, I worked with a handful of personally significant clients with a wide range of responsibilities including serving as a freelance director of marketing, searching for and supervising both a PR and advertising agency, creating press kits, composing marketing plans, marketing consulting, establishing new media partnerships and developing online strategies.

At JS2 Communications, I was responsible for creating and implementing award-winning, national marketing and publicity campaigns while managing account teams with success for a wide range of lifestyle, entertainment, travel and tourism, and food and beverage clients. I produced events such as festivals, premieres, awards galas, and press previews handling talent and media. I crafted clients’ brand identities, developing website copy and press materials, and formed strategic partnerships. I also served as an online strategies and new media specialist.

At Katz, I participated in the creation and maintenance of national media buying campaigns through research and analysis of the ad market and client needs, constructed and gave on-site client presentations including new business acquisitions, and established solid client relationships. In addition, my day to day duties included the supervision of large-sum transactions, bookkeeping, filing and database maintenance.
