I am currently the Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy for Dendreon. In my last role, I was the Vice President of Government Affairs and Patient Advocacy at ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer. In this role, I had the honor of fighting for public policies that help men and families while providing oversight of, and securing funding for, patient education and support programs.Previously, I was Vice President of Development at a charitable assistance foundation that provided grants to patients struggling with out of pocket requirements. Prior to joining the foundation, I was a Senior Health Policy Manager at Applied Policy. I joined Applied Policy in 2011 and served as the lead policy and reimbursement analyst for several clients. In this role, I worked with clients to develop and execute policy and reimbursement tactics to complement their business strategies. I also provided client-specific analysis of health care industry policies, rules, and regulations, with a focus on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Prior to joining Applied Policy, I served as a policy analyst and patient advocate with Men’s Health Network. In this role, I met with congressional staff to advocate for the organization’s legislative priorities and community health awareness events. I also gained broad experience through serving in a variety of roles, from business development to operations management, while working for Catalyst Rx (now part of Catamaran), a rapidly growing pharmaceutical benefit manager. I continued my health care operations experience as I worked with Virginia Hospital Center as it rebranded and marketed itself into a nationally recognized health care provider.I hold a BS in Business Administration from The University of Richmond. I continued my education by earning a dual Masters Degree while working fulltime. The dual degrees are an MBA and MA of Government from The John Hopkins University.
