Drew Vigne is a Solutions Architect, Liquid Cooling at Jabil. Colleagues describe him as "Drew worked in my lab performing CFD research for about 1 year as a volunteer. This evolved into a collaboration with a funded NSF IRES effort that involved a "COVID remote" experience with DLR in Germany. In these experiences, Drew was a top undergraduate researcher. He explored how models for helicopter rotors could be used for bike wheels (and won a best paper award). He also explored multiphase CFD and how sand melts and deposits on hot surfaces (relating to aircraft) with DLR. At the same time Drew was also exploring materials for automotive wheels. Drew has shown to be diverse in his ability to tackle multiphysics, usage of high-fidelity models, understanding theory, and hands-on building.
