As part of an interdisciplinary team, we revise or amend forest plans throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. This includes the multifaceted planning process as well as conducting programmatic NEPA analysis.

- Supervising junior-level team members; - Tracking and reporting on all team projects to Department managers; - Reviewing and approving subordinate staff work products; - Training and advising team members on environmental issues and policies; - Applying the policies, procedures, and regulations under the NEPA umbrella to develop environmental documents for State and Federally-funded highway and airport projects; - Researching data to identify and evaluate potential impacts to sensitive and protected environmental resources, which includes conducting field studies such as wetland delineations and wildlife surveys; - Consulting with Local, State, and Federal agencies to identify protected resources and coordinate to develop avoidance, minimization, and mitigation strategies; - Participating in public involvement and outreach activities including preparation of scoping materials, presenting project information at meetings and open houses, documenting any issues, and working with project design staff to address public questions and concerns; - Identifying and obtaining environmental permits from various Local, State, and Federal resource agencies; - Oversee consultant-led environmental activities, including preparation of environmental documents and resource reports, such as wetland delineations and noise analysis reports, to ensure proper adherence to appropriate procedures and/or policies and maintain State standards of documentation, and; - Monitoring projects during construction to ensure compliance with permit stipulations and environmental commitments

- Researching, compiling data and writing environmental documents for highway and airport projects; - Applying the procedures, laws, standards and regulations pertaining to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); - Identifying and obtaining environmental permits for projects; - Participating in public involvement activities including preparing scoping materials, giving presentations at agency and public meetings, writing summary reports, resolving issues documenting these activities; - Conducting field studies including wetlands delineations; - Collecting environmental field data included noise and water quality measurements; and - Monitoring projects during construction to ensure compliance with permit stipulations, environmental commitments and Best management Practices.

• Oversee compliance and enforcement of public water systems (PWS) in southwest Alaska• Multidisciplinary collaboration with various State Programs and Divisions• Technical review and response to water quality data, monitoring reports, Groundwater Under the Direct Influence of Surface Water (GUIDI) determinations, and site sampling plans • Provide technical assistance to system owners and operators to help achieve compliance• Supply public education to a variety of audiences including concisely explaining and interpreting regulatory requirements to system owners, operators, and the general public• Identify and respond to public health concerns or contamination and issuance of Public Heath Advisories for different audience levels, including system owners, operators, and general public• Issuance of formal enforcement actions and recommendation of corrective actions• Perform sanitary survey inspections to determine existing or potential health hazards and Document proper construction, maintenance, and operation of systems• Maintenance of all PWS information and compliance/enforcement activities in the State Drinking Water Program database• Validation and quality assurance of all water quality laboratory data

• Assisted with compliance and monitoring responsibilities for permitted facilities throughout the State of Alaska including detail oriented and technical review of Air Permits Program related operating reports • Performed duties ranging from inspection review, compliance evaluations, source test evaluations, and permittee communication liaison• Evaluated permittee compliance with Alaska Air Quality Control Regulations and Federal NSPS and NESHAP Regulations • Drafted various technical reports including Full Compliance Evaluations and Non-Compliance Notifications • Provided technical assistance and quality control/quality assurance

Responsibilities include sample collection, documentation, and report writing. Mr. von Lindern has utilized this versatile position to perform the duties as Associate Geologist on several monitoring well installation at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM. Duties include documentation and logbook entries, sample collection and management, and data management. Mr. von Lindern also utilizes his position to perform report writing and office tasks, data management, and sample collection across Alaska.

• Monitored flood restoration projects and performed duties as interdepartmental liaison to accomplish issue resolution• Collected daily in situ water quality measurements and performed various lab techniques to assess parameters such as turbidity and alkalinity• Created databases to track project progress and water quality changes as well as expedite issue resolution process• Compiled all data and information collected, photographic documentation, and graphical interpretation to draft Resource Adviser Report as final assessment of projects
