As Sr. Director and Lead Counsel--Growth & Innovation, I have a range of duties that include:1. Providing support on commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating technology/software/SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, payment-acceptance agreements and other legal matters for a wide variety of business groups within 7-Eleven, including: - Growth & Innovation- Information Technology/InfoSec.- Finance/Treasury- Fuels2. Overseeing 7-Eleven's patent portfolio, including prosecution efforts related to dozens of pending and contemplated patent applications covering ground-breaking technologies/inventions developed in-house by 7-Eleven's R&D and Innovation personnel, and managing defense of all U.S. patent litigation.3. Working with Legal Department leadership to streamline 7-Eleven’s legal operations, looking for ways to continue to provide best-in-class service while reducing inefficiencies and containing costs, including working with team of experienced commercial lawyers to handle more legal work in-house, driving increased use of custom template agreements, and developing playbooks to improve consistency and quality of results across a range of contract types. We are also looking at other ways to increase efficiencies, including developing team of international lawyers to support current operations.

Drew served as the lead lawyer for various CITGO business units, including Light Oils Marketing and Credit Operations, providing advice and counsel on every legal issue that the units face and handling the defense or prosecution of claims brought against or on behalf of CITGO. Drew also handled intellectual property matters, bankruptcy claims, and numerous litigation dockets for CITGO.
