The External Affairs Commission deals with student issues related to advocacy for students on a university, municipal, provincial, and federal level. In this pursuit, the Commission lobbies and advocates internally within the university administration while also lobbying externally to raise awareness about government policies regarding post-secondary education, as well as municipal issues pertaining to student life.The Commissioner of External Affairs, under the direction of the Vice President (University Affairs), will primarily be responsible to coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly. This position will determine staffing requirements for the administration department and oversee the hiring of staff. This role will also ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. As well complete policy briefings and drafting to be approved or presented to committees, working groups, and general assemblies.

The Clubs Office oversees the 300+ ratified clubs on campus for both graduate and undergraduate students. They aim to provide resources and support that will continuously encourage our Clubs community to flourish. They can help you start a club, join one, or improve one that's already here. They help with resources such as grants as well as booking space. As the commissioner is responsible for the ultimate performance of the commission and manages a budget of ~100 000 and a team each with their own portfolios of responsibility including an assistant commissioner, communications assistant, outreach deputy, and administration assistant.

The Social Issues Commission seeks to facilitate dialogue, education, and engagement on all matters related to equity, identity, and anti-oppression. The commission strives to represent the diversity of students at Queen's by advocating for social change, lobbying the administration, and raising awareness in the University community. As the external Commission is the co-head of this commission, and responsible ultimately for all responsibilities of the commission laid out in AMS Constitution and Policies. Mainly, involved engaging with students for feedback, consultation, event planning and running. As well advocating on committees and caucus’s for students, researching and initiating projects to address crucial issues, organize to revamp the external side of the commission, and distribute equity grants and awards; alongside managing the budget of ~125 000.

The co presidents are responsible overall for the operation, communication, and success of the club under there supervision. Queen's Backing Action on the Climate Crisis (QBACC) isa result-oriented, activism-based campus group thatcreates and executes successful environmental and social movements here at Queen's University. Since 2008, QBACC has actively been changing and challenging the current status quo at Queen's University with a focus on environmental issues, sustainability and equality. We constantly ask what more we can push ourselves to do to better our communities and tackle the climate crisis. We're not like a lot of other clubs. We don't just have routine projects from year to year because when we see a problem, we solve it and move on to the next. We also constantly take on more projects pitched by our members and community.

The head of the club portfolio for Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism. In the portfolio the VP manages the >10 000 budget, a team of 3 Managers; all who help with projects leads and fulfilling our portfolios goals to achieve for sustainability, reconciliation, and solidarity. As well executes larger long term efforts of the portfolio and the VP sits on several committees, consultations, and townhalls advocating for sustainability in a just way.

The Committee operating under T’Sou-Ke First Nation as the committee for lands advisory. This committee is responsible to complete the tasks laid out in the Lands Code for Tsouke Nation and the First Nations Lands Management Act.

This involved managing inventory, equipment and store maintenance, payroll/accounting procedures, scheduling, hiring and training procedures, project development etc. for a store open 5am-11pm, with sales >2 million, and a staff of ~30.
