    I began working at the New Jersey Council of Colleges in 1999 as the Director of Communications. In this role, I am responsible for coordinating all statewide communication campaigns and associated activities, including fundraising for key initiatives in support of the Council’s mission to advance the nineteen community colleges of New Jersey. I have developed and implemented communication strategies that resulted in increased state funding to community colleges by $31 million over a five year period, increased community college construction funding by $200 million, and doubled student enrollment in the NJ STARS program. Additionally, I partnered with key stakeholders in within the organization and the community to raise awareness for Council priorities and secure over $3.5 million in funding for programmatic support. In my capacity as Director of Communications, I also oversee all Council publications for various constituents, ensuring consistency of tone and message and also serve as an advisor to senior leadership on strategic direction from a communications lens.
