An experienced senior leader skilled in Veterinary Medicine, Communications, Animal Welfare, Recruitment, HR, Budget Management, Mentoring, and strategic planning. I have worked in the Veterinary Industry for 27 years and qualified from Bristol in 1996. Prior to my veterinary degree, I achieved a 1st Class Honours degree in Physiology from Oxford University and was awarded the Sherrington Sinclair Prize. I hold postgraduate qualifications in communications and diagnostic imaging and recently completed a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Internal Communications. I am particularly interested in listening and dialogue and their impact on engagement and retention. I am passionate about looking after and listening to my colleagues, mentoring young veterinary professionals and bringing about positive change in the veterinary profession. As Head of Veterinary Connections, I was part of the senior management team at VBD Ltd. and an affiliate member of CIPR. I became Director of Communications at the British Veterinary Association in September 2024 and am part of their senior leadership team.
