IBM Australia – Melbourne Project Manager – 2014 to 2015 South Cluster - Myer and Energy Australia accountsRole – Client facing role supporting the Account team implementing and changing services provided to the customer. Had full responsible for budgets, scheduling, customer reports and sourcing and management of technical staff. All work performed within a strict change management environment.Achievements• Managed the IBM set up of a new, fully redundant Firewall system into IBM data centres, integrated with IBM managed network equipment. Worked with multi-vendor staff from Energy Australia, Data Dimensions, Cisco and IBM staff.Result : Successfully modified network and data centres to accommodate requirements within customer deadlines. Balanced the demands of a complex multi-vendor environment• Managed the implementation of and migration to a new backup solution for 50 critical Unix and Intel servers to comply with an audit recommendation.Result : Successfully implemented the infrastructure, scheduling the upgrade in preparation for migration and migrated each server in the production and recovery environments. Many were mission critical, and achieved with no downtime or rework.• Managed the set up of equipment for a web and phone based customer service system into IBM data centres and integration with IBM managed network equipment and active directories. This was a global account with Infrastructure and services spread between USA, India, Singapore and Australia, with periods spent in Australia and Singapore. Had full responsibility for budgets, scheduling, customer reports, and management of technical staff. All work performed within a strict change management environment.Achievements• Part of the team managing the implementation of Unix and Intel servers for the new SAP environment, combined with installation of network components for worldwide connectivity, linking in with existing WAN. • Result : Successfull implementation in preparation for cut-over of first major release of company wide SAP environment.• Managed a series of Citrix upgrade projects for a Citrix farm and an overall stabilization to improve reliability, including a Netscaler environment for remote access, with dual authentication capability.Result : Worked with Accenture staff to successfully implement application upgrades and worked with Australian architects and Indian operational staff to perform a detailed analysis of all operational issues to remove instability and performance issues. • Managed the implementation of infrastructure for a ServiceNow implementation project from Singapore.
