You may have noticed a rather large change in my life: my SURNAME. Why? See https://bit.ly/redfeathersurname for the full story.I am passionate about how the mind and body work together, and how both can be fully developed to create happier, healthier and more creative individuals. Neuroscience and neuroplasticity, philosophy/theosophy/positive psychology, and mind-body practices like yoga and meditation are my main passions but I'm a FIRM believer that what you put into your body is just as important as how the innards work.I have extensive training and experience in personal and professional development, and have designed and facilitated personal- and leader-development programs for the past 20+ years. I constantly look for ways to push my body to enjoy whatever physical activity is available. I am an ultramarathoner (running my first 100-mile run in 2013), Ironman triathlete, World's Toughest Mudder qualifier and participant, hiker and fly fisherman. When I'm not on the road, trail or river, I immerse myself in an activity that began with my father in my youth: collecting Morgan Silver dollars. While I am currently based in the UK and happily so, I am 'location independent' meaning I'm blessed to be able to work anywhere in the world. I split my time mostly between the U.S. and the U.K. but enjoy meeting people wherever they are (literally and figuratively).Specialties: Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Neuroplasticity, Chronic Pain management, Electrophysiology, Collaborations management, Technology Evaluation, Future-based Scenario Planning, M&A Evaluation, Drug Discovery, Leader-Development, Competitive Intelligence, Facilitating, Positive Psychology Coaching, Mind-Body-Medicine links, Executive Recruitment, Behavioral Interviewing (and interview training)

Co-Founder And DirectorGrowth Leaders Network Oct 2015 - Aug 2019What is growth? When we grow ourselves, we grow our world. Our view of what's possible enlarges and touches the fire that burns within our hearts and the hearts of others. When we live fully, embracing growth, we live fully in the challenge, in love. When we live in fear, our hearts close and we wall ourselves off from others and more importantly from our life. Seeking a full life demands that we live fully in uncertainty, navigating as we go forward. Watch this space for some very exciting changes coming this way.

Scientist - Pharmacology & ElectrophysiologyAstrazeneca R&D 1997 - 2001People continue to experience unrelenting chronic pain. For sure this is due to NOT using pain medicines properly, but also because we don't have enough medicines in our armamentarium. Certain pain conditions are completely refractive to every medicine we have at our disposal. My job was to help figure out what changes in the nervous system to take someone from an acute (and necessary) pain into a chronic (and completely unnecessary) pain - in order to return the system to its original state and not just treat the symptom(s).
