I am honoured to serve as an External Examiner for Coventry University's MSc in Global Healthcare Management programme.

The MSc in Clinical/Medical Leadership, Education and Research is designed for healthcare practitioners at the centre of shaping their career as well as the healthcare profession. It is a practical, experiential and supportive leadership course. A framework is provided which enables participants to develop their own area of interest and supports them with implementing an improvement project, in addition to learning about teaching and research. It will enables graduates to become a more able clinicians, more patient-centred and more able to influence service delivery for patient benefit.

Beautiful Mind Strong Body Center, LLC approached health and well-being the way it should be: first and foremost in your mind and only then in your body. We embraced and offered numerous mind-body techniques: hot yoga, Vinyasa yoga, yogilates (yoga and pilates), QiGong, transformative meditation, positive psychology, and pharmacotherapy management, specializing in chronic pain management. I had the distinct pleasure of working alongside Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, Dr. Maria Sirois and Megan McDonough during the 2013-2014 Certificate in Positive Psychology (CiPP) program, administered through Kripalu.I helped facilitate small group discussions, track developmental progress of program attendees, and offer insight into the scientific studies behind positive psychology and flow, flourishing, strengths-based coaching, self-concordant goals, failure, change, mind-body connections, meditation and mindfulness, self-esteem and relationships, and many more!

My last foray at AstraZeneca included analyses and projects that fed into our Global Research and Discovery work. My home was within the Strategy and Innovation function.

My current role is to help AstraZeneca's Global Drug Discovery division become a world-leading project focussed organization with excellent project delivery. This is accomplished by helping the professional development of candidate drug (CD) leaders (who lead Discovery projects through to First GLP Dose). I will help lead the work of the CD Leaders Forum in improving CD Leaders' skills and capabilities, their networking and sharing of learning, their ways of working and interfaces with their customers.

Technology Analyst and AstraZeneca/Massachusetts Institutes of Technology Industrial Liaison Program (AZ/MIT ILP) Manager, Enabling Science and Technology (EST) Division, AstraZeneca R&D Boston.Primary areas of focus: tactical and strategic implications analyses of innovative scientific and technological advances impacting AstraZeneca’s EST and Global Drug Discovery efforts; facilitation of AstraZeneca’s Global Drug Discovery Strategy using future-based scenario planning, five-forces and four corner analysis, and war-gaming.

People continue to experience unrelenting chronic pain. For sure this is due to NOT using pain medicines properly, but also because we don't have enough medicines in our armamentarium. Certain pain conditions are completely refractive to every medicine we have at our disposal. My job was to help figure out what changes in the nervous system to take someone from an acute (and necessary) pain into a chronic (and completely unnecessary) pain - in order to return the system to its original state and not just treat the symptom(s).

Primary activities: Coordinating the evaluation and planned research activities of AstraZeneca Montreal pain discovery (pre-project) efforts; coordination of external engagements (collaborations, supported research, etc.); establishing Astra Pain Control’s electrophysiology division (pharmacology department) and the conducting of transiently- and stably-transfected cell lines for whole-cell patch clamp studies, extracellular (sharp electrode) dorsal horn recordings from anesthetized naïve and chronic pain rat models.
