Working in the Technical Compliance team covering Barclays US operations. Using a deep knowledge of both Barclays and the Compliance function specifically to develop process enhancements and strategic operating models. Bringing my previous experience in Regulatory Relations to help advise and influence Compliance’s frequent interactions with US and global regulators. Responsibilities include regional management of Conduct Risk, Cross-Border, Risk Assessment, Governance, Audit Oversight and Regulatory Engagement, with chief of staff responsibilities for the Americas Chief Compliance and BSA Officers. Management of regulatory interactions involving Americas Compliance and Financial Crime, including examinations, supervisory engagements, and remediation. Leadership of the graduate and intern programs, as well as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.

Acting as a liaison between Barclays and US regulatory agencies, providing advisory services to internal stakeholders regarding regulatory engagements and working strategically to enhance the relationship with our regulators.Core responsibilities include management of regulatory interactions including ongoing supervision, scheduled examinations and ad hoc engagements, brokering direct contact and providing notifications, as well as providing strategic advice and updates to senior management ahead of, during and following engagements. Focused on process improvement and developing consistent best practices.

Acting as a liaison between Barclays and it's Regulatory Bodies in the Americas, providing advisory services to the business and looking to enhance the relationship with our regulators.Maintaining and enhancing the relationship with Barclays' US regulatory agencies. This involves exam management, responding to requests for information, brokering direct contact and providing notifications, as well as providing an advisory service internally to business and functional areas.Contributed to the design and implementation of a comprehensive tool that logs and monitors engagements between Barclays and Regulatory agencies.

Developing and executing an industry leading Compliance risk assessment tool to identify regulatory risks and control gaps. Involved front to back in scoping, designing and implementing the tool globally. This has involved taking on responsibility for the identification and sourcing of the associated reference data, UAT, Technology sign off, training of users, technical support, QA and final analysis of results. This has also involved regular communication with senior management and demonstrating the tool to contacts at regulatory agencies.Role involves coordinating a team of external consultants as well as liaising with internal stakeholders to provide a conduit between the project team and the core business.
