Phd CandidateBournemouth University Oct 2012 - Apr 2017Bournemouth University, UkDoctoral Research on the ‘Evolution of British Asian Radio in England: 1960 - 2004’. Examined the development of the British Asian radio broadcasting, specifically catering to the then recently arrived Asian migrant community, since the Post-World War II in England. I traced and studied the Asian radio programmes on the BBC's local radio stations as well as on the independent local radio stations, 1960s onwards. I investigated why and how the community radio stations serving Asian listener community subsequently came into foray in England. The thesis also studies Post-World War II Migration from Asia and socio-political scenario in the UK.
