I have been an advocate for youth and education for more than thirty years. I am the author of 365 Black Nuggets: Wisdom for Each Day of the Year (2023), African-centered Rites of Passage and Education: Culturally Responsive Social Emotional Learning (2022), Facing the Rising Sun: Lesson for the Authentic Self (2021), Foundations: African-centered Education (2017), Bringing the Light into a New Day: African-centered Rites of Passage (2012), and various articles.My formal studies include: Degrees in Geography, Cultural Foundations of Educations, and Educational Foundations and Leadership.
