Kavin "Mickey" Asavanant won a full scholarship from the Royal Thai Government (awarded to 1 student out of 30,000 students from Bangkok Metropolitan area). He obtained a bachelor and master degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University. His interests lie in building startups community, healthcare innovation, and education improvement.In his startups journey, Mickey co-founded Noonswoon, a mobile social network for singles in 2013. The company raised 500,000USD from 500 Startups and Golden Gate Ventures. The company engenders love to many couples and accounts for many marriages and babies. Noonswoon was acquired by DateTix, a publicly-traded company in 2016. Mickey was also a founding engineer of Doctor Raksa/iDoctor, the pioneering Telemedicine startups in Thailand. The startups has raised series A round from Bumrungraj Hospital, one of the best hospitals in the Asia-Pacific Region. Mickey was the first Thai person to receive an HL-7 v3 standard certificate, a standard that will serve as a backbone for connecting hospitals together. He successfully led a team of software engineers in developing prototype system that adopts HL-7 v3 and CDA standards at Ramathibodi hospital and Siam Cement Group (SCG). The system is still in used today. In 2007 Mickey built a fun and addictive Facebook Application "My Purity Test". Along with his Stanford roommate, Kenneth Shaw, together they drove the app to have 2 million installations within two months after launched. Mickey was ranked as top 200 Facebook App developers in 2007. My Purity Test was acquired by SpeedDate.com, and later by Match.com.In the corporate world, Mickey had worked at Microsoft Corporation in the SQL Server group and Apple Inc. in the iPod Software division. In addition to entrepreneurship, Mickey's passion also lies in education. Currently, he is teaching high-tech startups courses at Chulalongkorn Business School, the first and highest-ranking (according to QS World University Rankings) university in Thailand.
