As a senior health executive with over 30 years of experience, I have led and contributed to various initiatives and programs that improved the quality of care and service for diverse and high-cost populations. My core competencies include public health, human services, medical management, quality improvement, utilization review, disease management, case management, pharmacy services, and Medicaid and Medicare insurance.In my most recent role as the Director of Health and Human Services at Baltimore County Government, I oversaw the delivery of integrated and comprehensive services for over 800,000 residents, including foster care, adoptions, child and adult protective services, guardianship, housing, and prison medicine. I also provided medical consultation and expertise for county-wide healthcare issues, such as pre-employment screening, school-based health programs, and the resettlement of refugees. Additionally, I was a clinician educator at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where I taught medical students, residents, nurses, social workers, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. My mission is to use my clinical and administrative skills to advance the health and well-being of individuals and communities, especially those who are underserved or marginalized.
