Dr. Gys du Plessis obtained his medical degree cum laude at the University of the Free State as well as a postgraduate qualification in Tropical Medicine at Wits. He qualified as a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). He has also completed a Post Graduate course in Integrative and Anti-Ageing Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) as well as the AAAM.He has a keen interest and a passion for Anti-ageing and Aesthetic Medicine. He has founded and established two holistic medical centers in South Africa since 2001 in Potchefstroom and Johannesburg. He until recently served as the Medical Director of Nimue Skin International. He was involved in the Research and Design of Dermanutraceuticals and Cosmeceuticals and educated internationally for Nimue. He has been active in the Aesthetic Medical fraternity since 1998 and has a Training institute for medical practitioners in South Africa. These CPD accredited courses offered, include advanced Botulinum and Filler injection theory and workshops, as well as teachings on supplements, detoxification, Bio Identical Hormones and the role of DNA in Healthy Ageing.He currently practices as medical practitioner at the Longiva Healthy-Ageing Institute in Woodmead, Sandton in South Africa. His main clinical focus of interest is guiding people towards Healthy Ageing through Integrative and Aesthetic medical intervention. It includes amongst other interventions, managing stress and hormonal conditions in the body, using bio-identical hormones, DNA application and optimizing detoxification. His aesthetic work includes Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers injections as well as dermal threading and numerous other skin rejuvenating proceduresDr. Gys is a dynamic International Presenter and teacher. He is involved in numerous talks and training programs internationally in the field of Healthy Ageing, Dermanutraceuticals, Holistic Medicine and Aesthetics.
