I have a unique blend of geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting experience. This experience has been valuable during the planning, design and construction of new structures on former landfills and other properties with contaminated soil and groundwater. I have been responsible for managing contamination assessments at a number of project sites for a wide variety of contaminants, including petroleum, solvents, metals, and PCBs. I have performed feasibility analysis to select the most cost effective and practical remedial solution for addressing contaminated soils and groundwater. I have completed the design, implementation and management of various remedial technologies including SVE/AS, Multiphase Extraction, Groundwater Extraction and Treatment, Soil Stabilization and Remedial Excavation. I am the spill response manager at GeoTek and have responded to over 250 spills. Examples of spill responses I have managed include the loss of wood treating chemicals as a result of a fire that destroyed a treatment facility, the loss of a large quantity of propane to the subsurface and the loss of up to 15,000 gallons of petroleum.
