I'm a Consultant Medical Physicist specialising in Nuclear Medicine, using radioactive tracers to diagnose and treat disease. I currently head up the Nuclear Medicine group at The Christie NHS Trust, one of the largest cancer hospitals in Europe, where I oversee both routine service delivery and development through research and inclusive innovation. My approach focusses on developing and supporting a cohesive multidisciplinary team, creating a working environment that enables each individual to contribute to improvements in patient care.I enjoy discussing developments in Nuclear Medicine in both professional and public settings and am as comfortable giving public talks and lectures as I am teaching at postgraduate level in local universities. I particularly enjoy panel discussions, podcasts and radio interviews. As an advocate for women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), I'm also well-positioned to speak on approaches to undermining gender inequality, and the role of peer networks in providing support and mentoring as well as opportunities for outreach and engagement.
