Heather Gaedt, Psy.D. has worked therapeutically with many individuals, couples and families for several years. She has the highest credentials and work experience in the field. She provides a safe, empathetic, nurturing, warm, unconditionally supportive and confidential setting. She practices what she preaches and helps increase happiness, peace and awareness by discovering obstacles that get in an individual’s way. She creates hope where there may not be any and provides a solid sounding-board with heart-felt and accurate feedback. The love she has of her work really shines through.Dr. Gaedt earned her Doctorate in Psychology after completing her innovative doctoral project on using dreams through a variety of therapeutic interventions. Dr. Gaedt has had extensive training and clinical experience in private practice settings, EAP, private psychiatric hospitals and addiction facilities. She has been working as a Clinical Manager at Michael’s House for the last year, overseeing operations and functions of the Women’s Center team. Before working at Michael’s House in March 2010, Dr. Gaedt worked at UCLA Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, Canyon Ridge Hospital, Betty Ford Center and BHC Alhambra Hospital.Dr. Gaedt was educated in Los Angeles at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology, where she received specialized training in using psychotherapy with individuals, families and children. She has extensive experience with individuals ages 8-90, please refer to her areas of expertise which includes Eating Disorders, Addiction and Maternal Mental Health. In addition, she has worked extensively with individuals who identify themselves as LGBTQ. Dr. Gaedt conducts an eclectic style of therapy and uses EMDR and DBT when deemed appropriate.

I work with patients who are dependent on drugs and/or alcohol in a residential setting.

I worked as a Psychological Assistant at a private practice in Pasadena. I specialized in couples, individuals and couples with sex issues, chemical dependency, eating disorders, addictions, loss and grief issues and building self-esteem.
