I have over 30 research articles in peer reviewed journals in the area of endurance training and performance; however, now I only work part-time my research activity has decreased and my main remit is teaching on the postgraduate courses in Sport Science and Exercise Physiology

Mind Body Dialogue is a private practice offering counselling, coaching and mindfulness meditation.

I trained as a mindfulness meditation teacher with the Interdependence Project in New York in 2012. I returned to the UK and set up a satellite group with my friend and colleague Lesley Adams. We now run the group as a Community Interest Company.IDPUK meets weekly. We are a community of like-minded people interested in using meditation practice to explore our minds and to help bring clarity to our lives. A key aspect of our community is how we take the practice from the cushion in to everyday life: to help our relationships and to help our world. One of the unique characteristics of IDP worldwide is the bringing together of East and West – the historical roots of contemplative meditation with newer psychological perspectives.IDPUK is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. Our aim is to make mindfulness meditation more accessible: to help beginners learn how to meditate, and to provide more experienced practitioners the chance to feel supported by a group.

I set up PBscience when I left my full-time academic post. It is a sport science consultancy and coaching service, focusing especially on coaching cyclists. Although I left the partnership in 2011, the business is still running, and remains one of the top services for coaching in the UK.
