Henok Tesfaye has been the Chairman and CEO of USP Holdings since 1998. Under Mr. Tesfaye’s leadership, USP has become a premier parking company in the highly competitiveparking market in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.Mr. Tesfaye’s efforts proved successful when USP Holdings was awarded themulti-million-dollar contracts to manage the parking facilities at the 5 of the busiestAirports on the East Coast, adding Orlando International Airport acquired earlier thisyear.Mr. Tesfaye is also involved, in the real-estate sector, at United Investments withmultiple properties currently in development within the DC Metropolitan Area.Henok has been featured in multiple publications. The Washington Post described himas “a District of Columbia entrepreneurial success store, a savvy and focused businesswith good standing within the community.” This year, Henok has been awarded the“Business Leader of the Year” by the D.C. Chamber of Commerce in its 80th anniversaryduring the Chamber’s Choice Awards & Gala in October.Henok is a Board Member at Capital Bank and the Washington ArchitecturalFoundation, as well as a member of numerous civic and professional associationsincluding the D.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Enterprise Development Group, and theNational Parking Association. Mr. Tesfaye also plays an important role in giving back tothe community. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Mary Joy Foundation USA, anon-profit organization that seeks to help children and seniors in his homeland,Ethiopia.BizJournals in Washington DC wrote, “Henok’s parents sent him to the WashingtonArea from his home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at age 16 with $50 in his pocket.
